The Himalayan Tamang foundation NEPAL offers English teaching volunteer programs across Nepal. This is an enriching and satisfying experience where volunteers get the opportunity to teach students who are eager to improve their conversation English skills. students born into the current nepali school-going generation value their education and are motivated to be taught new things about the world. Volunteers work either in Nepali public our schools are scattered across Nepal, in areas such as kavre , sindhupalchowk , solukhumbu, okhaldunga, khotang, so many. Volunteers may also be asked to assist in other school activities such as sports and other extra-curricular projects whilst on their placement. The program consists of teaching the subject of English to school children for 2 to 4 periods of a day, with each period running for 30 minutes. Volunteers will be required to teach 6 days week. Saturday is a day off for volunteers to enjoy some free time and there are occasionally public holidays. Government school children have a beginner to moderate level of English knowledge and language.

As a volunteer you will be:
- Teaching and tutoring children in English and math
- Developing a creative environment for children through crafts, games and sports
- Assisting with creating low-cost teaching materials
- Sharing teaching methodology with local school teachers
